Layne Rogers Module #1 Blog #3

While researching for my final article for this module, I came across an article about the Video Music Awards and social media. According to the article, this is the first year that there were not as many viewers compared to the posts on social media. The article stated 2.2 million people sent out 21.4 million tweets about the award show, this does not include other social media sites such as Facebook or Reddit. This just emphasizes the fact that we no longer have to watch a specific show, watch a certain debate, or read the newspaper to know what is going on in the world. We can simply go on social media and know the highlights of what has happened within the past few days; whether this is a good or bad thing is up for you to decide.
