Josh Mooney-Module 3 Article 2

In the article, "Social Media's Impact on Relationships," Shelley Galasso Bonanno talks about real life relationships vs online relationships. I agreed with some of the comments that she made when talking about people needing real life relationships with people and a face to face interaction seems to provide more meaning for a person. It is harder to hide emotions when interacting in person rather than online through social media strings. Deep and lasting emotional closeness is one thing she says that online relationships lack and I couldn't agree more.

  1. Josh,
I had to read the first few sentences of this article twice. I had not idea having more relationships correlated with living longer. I can understand why having more relationships would increase a person's psychological health, but the physical health I'm unsure on. Unless having more relationships means you are exposed to more illnesses and thus have a better immune system? Great article.
