The Good, the Bad and the Ugly of Social Media Politics

The article that I found highlights some of the worst parts of politics in media and how this medium can spread lies and accuse of vast corruption. It goes on to tell how social media has made it easier for cowards to hide behind their screens and try to destroy campaigns of hard working people through hate pages and violent language. Although I feel that this article shows more of the negative sides of social media in politics it also tells of the positive that comes along with it. The positive being that it seeks out the individuals who don't live in Washington D.C. and engages them to understand the shift in politics. In essence this article explains that while our playground for debate has changed and is now very much on social media, it explains that the ugliness of politics is only further enhanced because of this.

  1. So true are your observations of the information presented in this article. There is no arguing that backstabbing and lies can be spread as easily as clicking a button. This can spell terror to any honest politician who is caught up in a rumor. Rumors can cause obstacles that may be hard to overcome for them later in their lives. Several of my articles speak on about how social media has become the new manner in which we receive much of this information. And not only the information but people's opinions who we all know is good enough to change anyone doubtful persons minds.
