This article I found touches a lot on how social media and politics mix. Or don't mix. With this tool at the disposal of a politician what would be there aftereffects? Social media as Wesley Donehue in the article puts, "social media have according to him created a level of transparency". With this in mind it would lead many of the politicians to constantly be scrutinized. But it is to my understanding that many of their lives are subject to analyzation at any moment. So why would this tool that would allow citizens to message a political figure be bad? In my opinion I believe that it could make or break an impression of a politician. For any average joe its as simple as posting the question to the politicians wall, which can be easily answered via social media instantaneously.
