The article that I’ve selected talk about the positive
impact social media plays in helping small businesses advertise their services.
Twitter, Facebook, and U-tube is replacing brochures, flyers and T.V commercials. Social media is a cost effective way to
advertise the services that a business has to offer. Marketing through social media is taking the
place of the traditional way of getting information to potential customers. Advertising through social media allows
businesses to cut cost and reach a global audience at a click of a button.
As a previous business owner I can related to this
article. I was able to display an
overview on the services my business had to offer through my fan page I created
through Facebook. Taking this step
provided my business with free advertisement.
The fan page attracted potential customers and put me in a position to
expand my business.

ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed reading this article, and it seems to me that marketing through social media can be quite beneficial for small businesses. Do you think that social media will eventually take over all aspects of small business marketing? The advantages of social media marketing in this article, sure seem to lead the reader in that direction. I think that marketing through newspapers, brochures, etc., will eventually fall to the wayside due to social media applications like Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter.
Chris, I agree with you. I think social media is taking over and there is a new sheriff in town. It's just so more convenient to use social media to advertise.
