Module 3 post 4

This article regarding politics has really caught my attention due to the severity of what is discussed. How true is the notion that time changes everything. Politics has begun to be affected by a most serious adversary. Social Media. The times in which a politician used tv and newspaper to further their agenda has pretty much come to an end. Facebook and Twitter are the new forms of mass communication. Some may believe that it is simply a trend but trends do not stay and grow larger and larger. Which is good and bad. This creates a generation that is soley searching for information on one source. The internet. Now this may be good but in my experience it is always great to have an actual published book. Meaning that some of the information found on the internet can be fictious and downright insane. If social media takes over the way that we gather all of our information then how will we know what the truth is.

  1. I don't necessarily know that social media isn't just a long-winded trend. On the flip side, it is very possible that social media isn't going away for quite some time. I agree that one needs to be very cautious when using the Internet as a source for information, but I also think that when used properly it provides access to much more information that is relevant to one's topic.
