This article talks about how social media is affecting teens and what some of the social advantages and disadvantages of the Internet are. An obvious disadvantage of using the Internet and social media is that it is removing the face-to-face contact that people use to have to use. Many teenagers also feel more comfortable communicating through social media than through real conversations. Although internet and social media usage has many other disadvantages this article also discusses some advantages such as people being able to stay in contact with old friends. Overall social media and internet usage can have either positive or negative affects on relationships if it is controlled and used properly.
