This article talks about the ways that social media has changed the way our brains work. Social media has become a bit of an addiction in today's society. One thing that I found particularly interesting was "phantom phone syndrome." I thought it was interesting because this sometimes happens to me. I'll think my phone is going off but when I check it, there are no new notifications. In the video, it talks about social media and multi-tasking. It said that those who use social media more often aren't as good at multi-tasking as those who do not. This article brought up some very interesting points!

This article for me was interesting because I am intrigued by how our minds work. I have never thought about what social media could be doing to our brains and how they function but going into teaching this could be an interesting piece of information to have in my mind. I hope to see more articles like this and I might post some myself.
ReplyDeleteTraysea- I also read an article about social media addition. I think this is defiantly true. I also think that when people are mult-taskers they are looking for other things to do otherwise they do not feel like they are functioning fully and that they are wasting time in a way. Those whom get on social media like Facebook are looking for something to fill the time they are not doing anything. I do not think that they are trying to multi-task.
