Brady Vieth Article

http://www.huffingtonpost.ca/natasha-koifman/social-media-and-relationships_b_4115588.html

I found an interesting article that talks about how social media has been good on relationships. The article goes through a bunch of social media sites and explains how they are helping relationships. For example it talks about LinkedIn creating a professional relationship with potential employers. It also states how Facebook is good for keeping in touch no matter what the distance is. I think that this article is right on track as some other articles say what a bad thing social media is and how it ruins relationships. I think that it can be good as long as people don't rely on social media too much.

  1. I actually read this article as well while looking around for an article. I think it's funny that most articles I found only focus on how bad social media is for relationships and how it's ruining them these days. But I agree that social media actually does do some good for relationships. It helps couples that do long-distance keep in touch easier and helps make it feel less like a long distance. I like how you also brought up not just romantic relationships but professional relationships.

  2. Brady,

I think that this article has a lot of valid points. Social media does get a bad reputation for impacting relationships, but it can also be beneficial. I think that LinkedIn is a great social media platform for networking, and building relationships with past professionals and future employers. Personally, I have never been on Twitter, but according to the article, it is essential in connecting with big brands and organizations. One thing that I enjoy about Facebook, is the fact that it enables users to keep in contact with people all over the world.
