hi5 is a social media platform that I have maybe heard of once, but doesn't seem to be as popular as some other social media sites. Here is some basic information about hi5...
This social networking platform is based out of San Francisco, CA and was founded in 2003 and became the 8th largest social network by 2006. It has some of the basic features as any other social networking platform; friend networks, photo sharing, and status updates. In 2009, it starting going toward the 'gaming' side of social networking and changed its target audience a little bit. Because of that change, it has become ranked at the 6th most trafficked gaming sites.
That is why I haven't heard much of it. I don't think I became part of any social network until 2006, give or take a year or 2 and because I am not a gamer, I wouldn't be interested in this platform anyways. If they hadn't switched their audience and would have stayed more into what they first started, this wouldn't have been a terrible platform for my NPO. But because it is now strictly for gaming, it won't be any good at all.
I did go an look up some actual reviews from people who have used this, just because I don't know anything about it, or how to use it. I thought they might be helpful.

I haven't heard of this site either. If the platform is built more for gamers, it definitely wouldn't be good for your NPO even though it is the 6th largest social media platform and could expose your NPO to a lot of people. I'm glad you made the distinction between your target audience and the audience the platform reaches out to. The reviews make the company sound like it has an interesting social atmosphere.
