My first blog post is over a social media website called Renren. It is a pretty popular site in China. It is a site where you can interact, communicate, and play games with others online. It is a free of use social media site. The ease of use is pretty easy, it labels out almost anything you can think of and can find information easily. This is mainly just a Chinese website, but it is also a great way for people in other countries to connect and make relations with others in China. Renren was developed to change the way Chinese people interacted and shopped. They wanted to make Renren a almost everything website. This is where you can enter this website and do everything you want to just on this one site.
Looking at the site I found out you can contact people for issue with your account or if you have any other problems. Overall for my NPO this site could work if you wanted to sell the animals on the site, but there that would be about all NPO could use for this website.
With this social network site being mainly for China, is there both a Chinese and English version? As this is a game site, the language barrier might not be a big deal in the actual game, but it could definitely create problems when users tried to communicate with each other outside of the game.
ReplyDeleteAlex, This Renren sounds a lot like "Wanello" a site used in the U.S. that has similar characteristics. You can connect with friends and shop for some new clothing at the same time. If only Facebook had a way to shop on it.
