Chance Bila- Module #3, Article #4

http://mashable.com/2012/06/14/social-media-real-world-infographic/#m_KHXzLFTsqS

Social media was meant to increase the number of as well as enhance relationships in the real world. It is too often people report missing out on enjoyable moments because they were too busy documenting it on social media. This is evident if we just take a look around. Often times people are too busy tweeting or posting about the event rather than living in the moment. Overall social media, in my opinion distracts us from lifes finer things often times. How can we truely enjoy something if our faces are buried in our phones starring at our social media feeds?

  1. This is a great article, and it makes some great points that seems as if many people miss out on stuff and then just watch it over their social media accounts. I believe that people need to focus more on what is actually going on around them then what is on their phones.

  2. Chance, I read a similar article the other day about how people don't enjoy the moment they are currently in because they are too wrapped up in their phone. Or they think they have to take a video of things that are happening to share it with everybody immediately, if they would just enjoy what's right in front of them then they can tell people later on. Very good article Chance.
