Chance Bila, Module 5- Post #3

Many of us have heard of and are apart of Pintrest. However, a site similar to it is becoming more popular and that is Polyvore. Polyvore is a website, similar to Pintrest, where you are able to share an post pictures. With that being said, Polyvore is more for current and recent fashion trends. This website not only puts you intouch with todays current trends but also allows you to purchase items at a click of a button. After creating an account it is relatively simple to use Polyvore you simply just scroll through different items click the heart next to those you like or click the URL beneath the item in order to direct you to purchasing options. Overall, Polyvore is Relatively simple webesite that I can see being successful in the future.

  1. Chance,
Polyvore sounds like an interesting concept, and the website almost looks like that of a department store. Do you think that your non-profit would benefit from using Polyvore? I do not think that my non-profit would benefit from a membership. However, perhaps the platform could be used help with donations, or fundraising.

  2. I've never bought anything from Polyvore but I've seen it on Pinterest. It's easy to put outfits together and buy things like you mentioned. I can't think of any NPOs that could utilize this platform. As Chance asked, would your NPO benefit from this site?
