This article talks about the relationship between the an employer and employee with regards to social media. I have heard a lot of stories about people getting fired from their postings on Facebook. The author says that even though something might be private or posted on a private wall, that does not keep people from showing this post to your employer and that could then effect your job.
I think it's important for an employee to remember that their posts may not be private. I also think they need to use common sense at all times. If someone is going to post negative things about their company/employer, maybe their employment needs to be taken into consideration. I've read stories about people that call in sick, post a picture of themselves at a party, and their employer sees it and they get fired. That was a bad decision on their part. People just need to be aware of who can see what.
