In the attached article the title is what really caught my eye "Social Media is making you Stupid". Now just think about that, we are all on our phones 70% of the day (and lets be honest, we aren't always being productive while on them) making us not have to engage regularly in a face to face conversation. In the article they performed a study of making up five social networking sites and putting groups of people in each site. After using the site for awhile they were given a set of questions to find out if which type of social network site really had any effect on your IQ. They found that the group of people on the social networking site that allowed you to see what others posted just hurried up and changed theirs to conform to the right answer. I think that social media is a necessary evil, we have grown accustomed to it and it has great qualities about it but people become addicted to it.
