This article has put together to pieces to show that we are already in the beginning stages of Web 3.0. It takes everything that we have came to know about web 2.0 and shows how our technology has changed since then. It shows the different capabilities that all of our media devices are able to sustain. The new web generation is classified by three things first, new enabling technology, enhanced monetization opportunities, and consequently new categories of products that resulted in new use patterns for end-users. The authors of this article believe affirmatively, that Web 3.0 has already begun!
I think this article is a great one. It doesn't exactly say that we are in Web 3.0 but its also not saying that we aren't in Web 3.0. I agree with them that Web 3.0 has already begun to develope and sort of be put into action. Just as it was discussed in the lecture most of these definitions aren't really finalized until we are moving on to the next big thing. So that being said we really just finished defining what Web 2.0 is and now we are stuck defining what all of these new developments are. They don't fall under the category of Web 2.0 so therefore we must create a new definition and that is Web 3.0.
