What will the future look like? When we watched shows like The Jetsons in the cartoons, it seemed too far out of reach. This article includes a video of what practical technology that is tailored to individuals may look like. It is futuristic. But elements of it are already here. Didn't you notice that Amazon is very good at suggesting new things to buy based on what you have in the past? It's concepts like this that are pointing to a Web 3.0. Websites will be more interconnected, and therefore your experience on one shopping site may be linked to others you have visited frequently. A future tailored to us entirely: could it be an environment of advancement or of isolation?
I liked the descriptions of the different stages of the web. This article made the point that Web 3.0 has elements of previous eras but also has its own distinctions. I hadn't thought about Web 3.0 in respect to marketing but it makes sense that this would be a very good thing for advertising. This article had a lot of information that I found interesting and it's good to see another side of things.
