This article basically sums up how much social media has
progressed over the last decade, and what the future of social media might look
like. There are 11 different predictions
of what may be in store for the future of social media. Many of these predictions are taken from
people that are currently working within the social media. It’s predicted that
within the next four years, 2.44 billion people will be on some form of social
media platform. Social media platforms
will continue to evolve, and according to the author, social media may even be
integrated into what we wear, and track our habits. This may already be taking place, thanks to
Apple’s iWatch, Fitbit, and other forms of wearable items, that track daily
movements. However, in the future, these movements may be integrated into an
individual’s social media profiles, which will share a person’s progress with
their followers.
I love it! Instead of this being creepy I like to see how things are being integrated with 3.0 like the fitbits and apple watches. I didn't think about things to wear so I think this article offers a good point that 3.0 is more interactive!
ReplyDeleteI too found a article about the social media and what it might look. That is a crazy amount of people that will be on some form of social media. I was guessing there would only be 1.9 billion. I have not seen any new social media that are using the wearable items. I think that social media on wearable is the next thing though.
