Web 2.0 and Web 3.0
This article explains the main points of web 2.0 and 3.0 but what I really like about it is that it talks about how many people don't agree that we are yet in the realm of web 3.0. The biggest part of the article in my view though is that the way web 3.0 is really vague yes there is a lot of new technology coming about and yes there will soon be search engines designed strictly for the individual user but really not many people know the exact features of web 3.0 The article then goes on to say the internet is being controlled by governments not letting free and open internet access to all. This seems to me like a huge deal and really gets into politics and the social media and internet that goes with it.

I almost have to disagree with this article. A lot of what people are describing as Web 3.0 is already happening today. Just look at Facebook it can break people down into all sorts of segments and it tracks what you look at. The only major thing I don't see already happening is the no longer free access to the internet. That part of Web 3.0 really scares me. How can they keep information from us? Can you imagine how much harder that would make doing homework and things? Most college students don't have a lot of extra cash and we definitely don't want to be spending what we do on paying for more access to the internet.
