Nick Meyer Post 7.3

This article talks about the future of social media with regards to education.  It states that the future is to have Personal Learning Networks that help people share their ideas and knowledge with others, to create an environment full of learning.  This sounds a lot different than the social media platforms of today where there are mainly just videos people doing funny (or stupid) things.

  1. Nick,

I think that schools under use social media especially now because social media is becoming such a huge part of our world. A class like this one should be offered in high school.

  2. Brady and Nick,

I think that schools under use social media, but I don't think all social media is appropriate for school. I think that a class like this in high school would be good, but I wonder if high school students would take it as seriously. A Personal Learning Network would certainly be good for high school and college students. I know when I took organic chemistry, a Facebook study group started which greatly helped many students.
