App Only Concerns Haley Houtwed Post #2

This article talked about the problems with apps as many users download them and then delete them to make more room on their devices. Many start up companies would make apps only and do not have a mobile website. This is hurting businesses as the customers would then forget about the business if they needed to delete the app. This article also talked about the movement from consumers downloading apps being the success of the app to the usage of the app being the success of the app. They talked about Google making web browsers faster for mobile browsers.

  1. I agree with this article, it doesnot make much snese to me that a companies online presence is souley based on an app. I too can realte to deleting apps to make storage room. I just dont see how a company can sustain itself by only using an app.

  2. I agree with you. I feel that companies should first make their browser mobile friendly. This would allow them to be searched by people that already know their website, but they didn't not know the company had an app. Only having an app seems like the company is trying to keep up, but they are falling short in the complete mobile experience.
